You should read the book “Eat to Live” by Joel Fuhrman MD
His diet will get your cholesterol down. He is all about greens, beans, nuts,
seeds, and fruit. He is against added fats, and sugars. Grains are limited.
You will feel great! He does have some recipes for allowed sweets.
His book will get you where you want to go. Then, once in awhile have a cheat
day and eat whatever you like.
