About Me

Hi! I’m Liz. I’m 22 years old, and up until April, I’d lived my whole life in Columbus, OH. Now I’m living in Richmond, VA, starting a new job, in a new place, and meeting lots of great new people. In the spirit of trying new things, I’m going vegan, for a while.

As I mentioned in my first post, I was genetically blessed with high cholesterol… so I’ve gone vegan, attempting to lower my cholesterol without medication.

The blog world has been incredibly helpful during this nutritional transformation, because there are so many vegan recipes available! I’m looking forward to trying out some new ones, and I’ll be posting my attempts on here, to help me keep track of what to make, what not to make, and what to try making again šŸ™‚

Look out world, I’m going vegan!

I’ve been “blessed” with genetically high cholesterol as well! I’m also gluten/dairy/egg/and casein intolerant!
    go me. :/
anyway, it kind of is a blessing in disguise, because it forces me to eat REAL food, mostly plants.
i tried going vegan, but i love yogurt (the only dairy i can tolerate) and bacon too much!
i don’t have them often, but i also don’t want to exclude them if i don’t have to.
i hope your vegan journey is successful!!!

Hey!! I just stumbled on your blog – I went vegan a year ago due to some digestive issues and HIGH TriGlycerids and didn’t want to go on meds either ;( I had found the Engine2 diet book that supports whole vegan eating to lower cholestrol naturally.,
( to be honest NOW i do eat fish 1x a wk and an occasional egg or cheese – no milk or meat though)
Anyway I digress – so I can somewhat relate to your story and look forward to reading your blog more!!!
    Many blessings to u!

I just found your blog. It’s so cool that you decided to approach the high cholesterol issue from a dietary standpoint. I feel like that’s a memo that a lot of people miss. Diet = health.
Where near Columbus did you live? I lived in Gahanna for six years!
    P.S. Added you on Twitter!

Hii Liz! It’s great to see that you’re leading this kind of lifestyle instead of just going the other route of meds~I’m sure those are good, but veganism will probably change everything else for the better too šŸ™‚ Keep on rockin’
